How to claim an assistant item?To bill a surgical assistant item number 51300, 51303 or 51306 you need to:
• have the surgeons items numbers.
• You need to have assistant as one of your specialities.
• This will enable you to switch on the “surgical assistant” ON/OFF button.

Adding a new provider numberPlease note: adding a new provider number depends on the package you are signed up under. For basic and saver packages you won’t be able to upload another provider number as they only allow 1 provider number.
Also, new provider numbers must be registered with the health funds before you can bill.
